Example Two - They are teasing me!

A school pupil is getting teased by his/her peers for being top of the class in maths.  As a result, the pupil decides to not work as hard in the subject in order to prevent the teasing.

But, if they had a mentor?  With one-to-one support from a mentor, the mentee discusses, over several sessions, how they are feeling, why maths is a subject they want to do well in, looks at ways of dealing with the teasing, starts to understand why others' jealousy can make them behave in certain ways and as a result, decides to continue doing their best in the subject.
