Example One - The bank want a business plan!

A local graduate is keen to set up his/her own business but they don't know where to start.  Their bank needs to see a business plan before it would consider lending them any money.  The young person is intimitated by this task and is considering giving up the silly idea of having his/her own business.

But if they had a mentor?  With one-to-tone support from a business mentor, (a local business person who has offered their time to support someone wanting to set up their own business) the mentee is able to talk over their concerns.  Through the mentoring sessions, the mentee starts to develop skills and knowledge in order to establish a clear plan to how they want their business to look and function.  The mentee is then able to write the business plan the bank requireds.
