The research and audit facility is provided on a consultancy basis and provides a service for organisations that would like to explore their volunteer involvement in greater depth. Research and audit work carried out in the past has included research into the impact of volunteering in an organisation, and an audit of the experiences of volunteers themselves of the organisation's practice. This has helped organisations get an independent view of their organisation in preparation for improving areas of volunteer practice.
