The Agency provides a research and audit facility in relation to volunteer involvement and governance.

The research and audit facility is provided on a consultancy basis and provides a service for organisations that would like to explore in greater depth the impact volunteering is having on their organisations. This can be in relation to improving volunteer involvement or simply getting a better overall picture about the volunteering undertaken in the organisation. This can include or specifically focus on the volunteer involvement relating to governance.

The Agency has also carried out some small scale research work to look at volunteering in specific areas or sectors. This has again been done on a consultancy basis.
