Down District Volunteer Centre (DDVC) is the lead agency for promoting volunteering and volunteer development within the area of Down District in Northern Ireland. DDVC recruits, supports and trains volunteers and assists people in becoming more active in their communities. DDVC assists organisations in recruiting and maintaining volunteers and promotes the principles of equality and good practice at all times. It is the aim of DDVC to enable all people to volunteer if they wish. DDVC operates a range of innovative projects, which facilitate voluntary involvement from all sections of the community. DDVC are a member of the wider network of volunteer centres across Northern Ireland, Volunteer Centres Northern Ireland (VCNI).
