This year Volunteers' Week celebrated its 25th anniversary. The Volunteer Development Agency joined forces with the Association of Charity Shops to bring volunteering to high streets across Northern Ireland. The shops carried special window display material and had information in store on volunteering opportunities available in their local communities.
Social Development Minister Margaret Ritchie popped into her local charity chop in Downpatrick, Marie Curie Cancer Care where she helped out the shop volunteers.
