Do you want to know more about good practice in managing volunteers?
WHO THE COURSE IS FOR
This 3-day course is for those people who are responsible for designing and delivering training but have little or no experience in doing so. The course covers the basic skills required by an effective trainer.
Training programmes can provide volunteers with the opportunity to be as effective as possible within their role and to develop their skills and talents. By providing appropriate training and information, you can ensure volunteers are aware of your organisations policies and procedures and can also assist in risk management.
ACCREDITATION
OCNNI Accreditation is available (3 Credits at Level 2) but accreditation is optional. Participants can decide individually whether they wish to work for OCNNI credits or simply attend the training. If undertaking the accredited option, participants must attend all sessions.
The activity of identifying training needs and designing and delivering appropriate training for your volunteers can also assist you in benchmarking against or working towards accreditation for the Investing in Volunteers Quality Standard for Volunteer Management.
