Event Management for Volunteers
Event Management for Volunteers (EMV) is designed for both existing or new volunteers involved in sports or arts events and people who support or manage event volunteers - all will benefit! It introduces participants to event management for volunteers, provides an awareness of the disciplines involved and the importance of good practice.
The course includes modules such as effective communication, managing conflict, child protection, fire awareness, health and safety, first aid, equal opportunities, customer service, spectator control / stewarding and the nature and scope of volunteering and volunteer management in major events.
Volunteers make a good event into a great event and participants will:
- Gain an understanding of what is involved in event management for volunteers
- Build on their event management skills
- Achieve a University of Ulster accreditation
