About the organisation
Kilcranny House aims to heal the divisions which exist within our society. It provides a safe, neutral venue for community, adult, schools and youth groups to explore issues such as non-violence, identity, prejudice, awareness, human rights and conflict resolution.
Opportunities available
The organisation usually involves two long term volunteers, and one or two summer volunteers.
About the work
Volunteers may be involved in numerous activities including: working in the organic garden, working with small numbers of animals, facilitating discussion groups, helping deliver the schools programme, cleaning, cooking, driving etc.
Experience and skills required
Drivers (over 25 years old) are preferred. Other useful skills include cookery, gardening and experience of group work. Volunteers should be willing to share in the ethos of non-violence and live as part of a small residential core.
