This one day course explains the steps involved in developing a Volunteer Policy. It provides frameworks and hands-on practical support in developing a policy specific to your organisation.
A Volunteer Policy is the key document for guiding organisations in promoting, structuring and managing their volunteer programme. This one document paints an overall picture of what volunteers do, how they are values, managed and supported and how their work helps an organisation to meet its aims. It informs the strategy for involving volunteers in organisations so is an important tool for funders and trustees. It gives potential volunteers an understanding of the volunteer programme, encouraging engagement and assisting recruitment.
